Hello!

Welcome to 1st Buckfastleigh Scouts

1st Buckfastleigh Scout Group relaunched in 2019.  Since then, it has gone from strength to strength with over 100 members.

We were very pleased to be able to offer 2 new Scouting sections in 2022, Squirrels in April and Explorers (River Dart Explorers) in June.

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment.

We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.

Volunteering

Volunteering for Scouting is one of the most fun, rewarding and positive things you can ever do. You can give as much or a little time you like and we will match opportunities that fit your skills and time available.

If you would like to have fun and make friends, earn professional qualifications and make a real difference to the lives of young people please contact us.

"I’m calling for more volunteers to step up and make a difference to young people’s lives across the country."
